Groundbreaking at 3rd nd Oakdale and rumored Starbucks

Now I have heard from a couple of different sources that there will be a Bayview Starbucks at the corner of 3rd and Oakdale. How this fits in with a "cultural/retail destination" confuses me. Time will tell. Below is the announcement.

Precinct #3019 Shuts Down Early, Prop F Fails Anyway.

Prop F and G Results in San Francisco

Thank you San Francisco for overwhelmingly voting against Chris Daly's Prop F. If it had passed it would have been a severe set back to our neighborhood.

Now if you were trying to vote around 7:50pm last night at precinct #3019 (Corners of Oakdale and Newhall) you may have had a hard time finding it. All the signs were taken down at 7:50 when we showed up. We asked the poll workers to put them back out. An older gentlement did but only after berating us about how he's served his country and how dare we, etc.

Next election if you feel like doing a little non-partisan political work, just go down to your local polling place and make sure they stay open till the proper time. Now I understand it's a 13 hour day, and it's not much money. That's no excuse. Signs out and doors open until 8 pm.
